Perth and Kinross Council plans to invest £100,000 in renewable energy
Several schools in the region already use biomass energy, including the Breadalbane, Blairgowrie and Crieff Community Campuses. The council said it was particularly keen to fund biomass energy projects and hydro-electric schemes. The investment will be made over the next twelve months.
Councillor Miller for Perth and Kinross, said: “I am delighted to announce that we will be funding this new initiative. It will provide an opportunity for Perth and Kinross to capitalise on a growing and very important industry.”

We have a vision that Scotland can be a global pioneer in the Cleantech and Renewable Energy industry.
A key way to support this is to build a community, a hub, where those with common interests and expertise can collaborate freely. Cleantech Scotland will be this hub.
